Anyone know if you can put a level wind parts from a 400b on a 440S and make it a level wind? What are the pros and cons of a 400s Thanks guys.

In the theory you can, but it will cost you the price of a new 400b in parts.

The you are saying it would be cheaper to convert a 400b to a 400s with 400s parts?

What in the 400s makes them more desirable?

I think he is saying that it might be possible to turn a 400s into a 400b, but it would be cost prohibitive - potentially rivaling the cost of just buying a 400b outright.

I was thinking that somehow the 400s is better reel (durable?) and he wanted to have the levelwind on that reel with the better innards? If so, what makes that reel stronger?
