After seeing that picture of the Mille Lacs monster I'm thinking I need to "size up" some of my lures...wow.

Anyhow, I'm using a TI MH 9' rod and having a bit of a difficult time casting smaller bucktails - I'm talking about 3/4 to 1 oz. Musky Killers, Giant Killers, Baby Girl's, etc.

Anybody have any creative ways to add more weight to these smaller offerings?

Try using a Stealth weighted leader. I used a 1oz one a lot this year with smaller bucktails and spinnerbaits.

rubber core sinkers work good as does coiled lead, bell sinkers but the stealth weighted leaders are the way to go..

Squeeze an SG lead sinker onto the wire.
