| I broke the lip of a 14 inch jake in half. Now I have to get the old one out and put the new one in. Any suggestions for getting it out and whats the best way to put the new one in. Thanks. |

Location: Lino Lakes, MN | I put mine in a open vise and tapped straight down on the body of the bait with the edge of the broken lip on the vise jaws. Just remember to drive the force straight in line with the groove for the lip.
Worked like a charm. New lip just pressed back in.
Good Luck

| Generally you can pry or gently chisel the old one out with a small screwdriver or similar. Use 5 minute epoxy putting the new one in for a better seal and seating. |

Location: WI | I've heard guys talk about heating water in a pot (boiling?) and holding the lure head first in the water to get broken Grandma lips off. Might want to be careful if you try that so as not to melt anything. |
