How has the fishing been so far this fall? Are most lakes in the middle of turnover or passed it? I am fishing this weekend for the first time in a month or so. How has the fishing been on baits vs suckers?

I am with you. Also been out of the game for a month or so. And also am hitting the water this weekend (FINALLY). I would second his questions.

from what I have heard from buddies is middle of turn over is still occurring but wont be long, early next week.... maybe, if it even takes that long.

Baits: big jerk baits, gliders and suicks are working. Also rubber has been working.
I still do have a buddy using DBL13s and having success as well
