I do not do a whole lot of trolling, but may start next year. I understand a fiberglas rod has the shock absorbing qualities needed as well as strength. What is the preferred length and any ideas on manufacturers??
Thanks.[:p]

I utilize a St Croix Classic Cat for the smaller trolling lures, 7'6 model to be exact...And for the real big lures I run a 6'6 Solid Fiberglass Tuna Rod....Shakespear Sturdy Stik is very similar to it...Either way both rods are cheap...
