| I am looking at a late 80's Fisherman that needs the livewell and baitwell pumps replaced. What is the cost and labor involved in doing this if I were to do this myself? Thanks for any tips / tricks, etc. |

| Pumps are cheap--$25.00 ea roughly. Its simply a matter of replacing them --take the hoses off, disconnect the electrical connecter replace with new pump. I'd make sure there wasn't any obstructions in the hoses first though |

Location: Elgin, IL | I replaced both of mine in a 96 Lund. Fairly simple project once you locate the pumps. Undo the hose clamps, reconnect 2 wires. I used new hose clamps, and used the waterproof shrink-type electrical connectors too. Both of my pumps had easy access once I found out where they were under the floor. Lund makes it simple.
I paid around $55 for each pump from BassPro, but they were an upgrade in pump power over stock. No problems and an easy job overall. |

Location: KY | I agree it is an easy job. I replaced mine in a 95 ranger for about $50 ea. Think about replacing the flow-rite valves too. |

| If the present are not the cartridge style, I'd suggest you replace them with the cartridge style. And then buy an extra cartridge and keep it in the boat for a spare. |

| Called Ranger parts and they couldn't help...transferred me to service but was unable to connect with anyone who could help. Called a few other 680c owners that I found online and they did not know where these pumps are either. The mystery continues... |

| I know exactly where they are as I went through this drill this past Spring. Centerline aft you'll see some carpet that is about 1 foot square. Underneath is an aluminum panel. In each corner of the panel,, there is a deck screw. Unfortunately, it is covered by carpet. You'll have to get a box cutter and cut the carpet in the corners then peel back to expose the screws. Ranger probably thought that the pumps would never go bad. |
