| I understand that prices vary for things with options. I can give you a price range for a new 620 Ranger even if you don't tell me what options you want (you're looking at $50-$60K). I've seen specific prices on specific JEC boxes before. Why can't anyone answer the question about a specific price for a specific box so that people can get an idea for what they cost? Even an explanation as to why he doesn't want to publicize specific prices would be helpful. | |||

Posts: 2378 | you can go right here and see prices for some of his basic boxes... http://store.justencase.com/onthewater.aspx from that it should be pretty easy to determine for yourself how the size/customization that you want will increase or decrease the price. Absolutely cool boxes, and all those that have them love them...just not worth it to me

Posts: 148 Location: Excelsior, MN | I get daily emails and toll free phone calls inquiring about Custom Boxes from guys but it appears that it may be too much to ask of others. A formula driven Microsoft Excel pricing tool is used to calculate price. The Deck Boxes continue to evolve rapidly, introducing new capabilities and features with the goal of making them as versatile and affordable as possible. The conversation that occurs with a prospective Customer is invaluable in finding a way to meet his/her budget constraints (if possible), discuss and define alternatives/ requirements, select options, and for the Customer to get exactly what they wanted.

Posts: 46 | The honest truth about the price of the boxes is bob did four boxes for me and I don't remember how the prices broke down plus I don't want to post what I payed because you never know if the wife is looking at this thread. You guys are making way to big of deal about this I just wanted to post the pics to show people what was new and fresh out of bobs shop. If you want a price email him, it is kinda simple. Now I am going fishing good luck to anyone that decides to do the same.

Posts: 167 Location: Ontario | Every time someone posts a custom box it turns into this type of discussion. There are lots of companies who don't post prices online, especially for custom work. If it is too much of a hassle to call/email Bob to discuss what custom box you want, then you are probably not serious anyways. If he wanted pricing for his custom work to be viewed by everyone, it would be on his website (not even sure if that would even be an option, since it is "custom". I know I got asked by a couple folks for pricing when I posted my box but out of respect for Bob, I felt it was best to have them contact him directly. Edited by Matty 9/8/2012 10:32 AM

Posts: 32959 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The boxes are custom built to order, with any number of options available, and need to be priced individually to the customer's specifications. The angler who started this thread explained why he didn't post a price on the deck he had built, and the process to get a quote was posted by Just Encase. It's like asking 'how much is a two story stick built house'? Please look on the Just Encase website for pricing on standard boxes. Live from my boat at the Kevin Worrall Memorial on Pelican...

Posts: 1184 Location: Iowa Great Lakes | I paid less for my Just Encase than what 2 Lakewood Monsters would cost and the Just Encase holds more baits plus all my tools and spare hooks and misc items...All out of the elements so they don't corrode....

For a deck box? That's encouraging. Call me old fashioned and paranoid but I don't care for the soft sided bags like Lakewood has. They might last forever, but that's just how I think/feel

Posts: 148 Location: Excelsior, MN | Not sure if you were looking for the actual tray info. The approx. tray dimensions: Top tray - 15 1/2" x 9" x 2 1/2" (recessed back to allow for flush lockable latch) Middle tray - 15 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 2" Bottom tray - 15 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 2 1/2" Bottom of trays have Zerust (anti-rust) drawer liners. The Step Box for Mnmuskyman with a length at 16 1/2" was built to Custom fit the area between the consoles in his 185VS. The standard step box built for the past show season was 24"L x 11"W x 8 3/4"H (total height) The Step Box in the photo (white non-slip top) is in Jason Hamernick's Z21. His Step Box set-up has 3 - 18"L x 10 1/4"W x 2"H stacked trays instead of pull-out trays with 6"L of 8" notched hang on one end. Mnmuskyman's is the first slide out Step box built .
