Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | Very cool. My main suggestion for this would be to make your bottom plate thinner so when a fish hits it their mouth does not get hung up on the sides of the plate and they get hooked. Very cool!

Very cool concept. I hope they can make it on the market in the future.

Posts: 83 | yeah i kinda agree, hard bottom plate seems like it might have some affect on the hook ups... how about this makelure.com submission? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iamMfHQwpqg&feature=plcp

Posts: 1141 Location: NorthCentral WI | Anonymous - 9/4/2012 11:47 PM just give me a regular dawg! I agree. It could be kind of a pain changng out the skin while on the water. When I'm fishing, I like to keep fishing. I would be much more inclined to clip on a different color dawg in a matter of 5 seconds while you might just be getting your screwdriver out, I'm fishing again. Good concept though. One suggestion would be to make it look different than a dawg or super d. Some kind of change to the body shape or tail, etc..

Posts: 494 Location: midwest | The Chameleon looks like an interesting concept. Maybe make the bottom plate out of a firm durable rubber compound instead of the hard plate? "Fish30 Acre" your craw looks like a River2 sea super yabbie http://www.river2seausa.com/soft-plastics/417-super-yabbie.html or a vintage Bill Dance flip n craw from the mid-80's.

Posts: 791 Location: North Central IL USA | IDK, maybe. I agree with martian about changng out the skin while fishing. My water time is limited so i like to just clip on another lure and be good to go. As far as saving money - I've been getting some pretty good deals on rubber on e-bay.

Posts: 416 Location: Madtown, WI | People realize that even though you can switch skins to a different color, you don't have to. You could buy one of every color but if one gets wrecked, it would be significantly cheaper to replace and you could do so on the water.

Posts: 1504 Location: Oregon | It's good to see people thinking about different ideas......... About 25 years ago I had a dream that I was using a crankbait that would allow me to snap off the back and snap on a different colored back. I thought it was a great idea, a novel idea. The following spring I was thumbing through a catalog and there was a "new lure" that did exactly what I was thinking about. I have not seen them in a long time, guess the concept didn't catch on. Posts: 559 | I have not fished dawgs or Super Ds for a long time , but have caught a lot of fish on them. If I remember people complianed about missing fish because they could not move the bait in the fishes mouth. I think the hard bottom would only help.
