| Engine beeps 4 times at the counsel then stops very 2 minutes. Though it was because low oil. I filled the tank it still happens. Ran the engine and it seems when it gets over 4500 rpms it is a solid beep. What should I look for next? Thanks Brian | |||

Posts: 192 | I agree, it is probably a water pressure deal. I had a new impeller installed and had the same thing going on. The guys accidentally kinked a hose when putting it back together. Water was squirting out just fine but not making it to the top of the engine like it was supposed to. I have a good shop I use and they admitted the mistake, appogized and fixed it for free.

Put the boat in the water, take off the cowl, loosen the engine oil reserve tank cap a bit, and start the engine; when the oil hits the top cap it quick. Have a rag ready.

Posts: 293 | I 2nd what Steve said... I have ran the oil completely dry before, and drained the reserve. I couldn't figure out why once I refilled the oil reservoir it still acted as tho there was no oil in it I took it in and what Steve said is exactly what they did.

Posts: 5874 | I just saw this and was going to suggest the magnet probably broke off the float inside the reservoir. Can't be fixed, so a new tank is in order. I think they cost about $70.
