Just moved back to the Eau Claire, WI area and wondering if anyone fishes Shell Lake? Wondering if it is worth the time to head up and fish. I know that it is a low density lake but thats OK. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Get a hold of Jason Smith. He's in Chip Falls.

I think that still works.

I fish it with some frequency. Its easy to fish but you are 100% correcton low density compared to others. Plenty of bass and wallye in it to keep a guy busy if the musky are elusive. The boat main boat launch on the west side of the lake is a bit of a gong show. Stay away from the southern of the 2 ramps. It will cock your trailer at about a 45 degree angle from your hitch (unless its been fixed since June)
