Remember everything you read on the internet isn't always true. In 5 minutes of research one can come to a pretty obvious conclusion that those numbers are ridiculous!

Congrats to Navionics on fooling at least one person with your skewed/inaccurate data!

OK, put your knowledge where your virtual mouth is and explain exactly how the numbers are ridiculous for either chip.

Apparently you have missed the press releases lately, there have been quite a few. Here's one of them.

I'll clarify...

I'm not saying Navionics numbers for their own data is incorrect.

What I'm saying is what they have for the other companies listed is incorrect, particularly Lowrance Insight.
A quick trip to Lowrance's website shows well over 1000 lakes WITH CONTOURS for MN and 250~300 of those lakes being high def.
What does Navionics list for Lowrance Insight?? 603 lakes in MN with contours and ZERO HD lakes.
It aggravates me when company A will post pretty important statistics comparing themselves to company B, and use false data for company B. Call it good advertising, but to me that is a low blow. If a company is going to talk about it's competition, at least be honest about it.

Also notice how ND and SD were left out of the graph... just so happens that the Lake Insight chip is better in those states which do have popular fishing destinations.

I suspect Navionics was referencing the Insight Mapping http://www.lowrance.com/Products/Mapping/Insight-HD/ that comes with a HDS with Insight

Kirth,

When I see this type of subject line, I usually assume the poster has a row of corn to hoe!

Have fun!
