New rods are ready to ship. TI retailers should be putting orders in soon for rods and a few already have some being shipped to them.

New rods:
1) 2pc in MH, XH and XXH. Breaks down to 2-4.5' long pieces for ultimate storage or travel. Comes with either a split or full grip 18" fat cork handle
2) New 7'9" Jerkbait rod. Comes with either a split or full grip 18" fat cork handle.
3) New 8' solid blank rods. MH, XH and XXH. Full grip for all of these but only the XH comes in a split grip too.

New 7'6" rods and the new 6' youth musky rods will be ready late 2012.

If you want to see any of the specs here you go:
http://www.tackleindustries.com/muskypikerods.html

Really good news about the new 2pc rods is that they can be shipped to Canada and Europe for far far less than the long rods. Normal Priority International shipping with those!! I am working on the rates right now to help my retailers know their options.

email me at [email protected] with any questions. New lures on the way too!!! 3-4 weeks and you will see some really cool 10" Tubby Jr tubes, drop belly gliders and a few others. Got two really cool ones in development right now. Can't wait for those.

Enjoy,
James

You will like the split grip on the new jerkbait rod. I dressed it up with a cross hatch carbon fiber skin on the exposed blank between the two cork handles. Looks real nice!! See below for a picture. About the best picture I can get on a 101F day in the garage

Thank you! With a 7 foot rod locker Ive been limited on what rods I would buy. The new 9' split looks like something I'm going to have to get.

Just got my new 7'9" jerkbait rod in the mail over lunch today James. Outstanding! Love the way you dressed up this rod. you really need to be charging more for these rods. They are as nice or nicer than the $200+ rods I see in the musky shops. Just don't make me pay more! lol

Can't wait to give this stick a workout this weekend.

Right now no...I need to sell more of my 9' blanks to see a market demand for them. If those start to sell well then I will expand out into my telescopic blanks. Slowly but surely I am sure they will start to sell. I already have a few custom builders getting a few and Tuscadora tackle has really taken off with them. I think once guys see the blanks, use them and see the work some of these custom guys can do I will be making the telescopic blanks.

I do want to make a 2pc 7'6" or 8' rod. I just need a bigger warehouse! I do love the new 9' 2pc rods. They store in half the area vs my other rods and my retailers and I can finally ship them worldwide. Told the wife we need a 60'x100' pole barn and then I told her the price...she reminded me this is still supposed to be a hobby business. We may be moving soon anyway so that will be my chance to build the new barn...I hope. Then the new 8' 2pc will live!

The new 2pc 9ft rod is a winner. I have one from last year that James gave me to test. It is one of my clients rods and has seen alot of fish this year. The pieces do not move when put together even throwing big rubber. It is a great rod and very easy to travel with.

Just got my new TI XXH 2-piece rod delivered here in Denmark - Finally we (Europeans) are able to get some of the really heavy-duty rods and start throwing pounders on propper gear as well.!!

Still havn't been on the water with the rod, but I'm liking what I see/feel. Most impressive is, how light this rod is.!!!

I used my 2 piece rod on Mon and it felt great, still don't know how it feels with a fish on but I was impressed with it.I talked to Kevin at the chi show about it and he said it was great like in the thread above that he commented about the rod.I now don't have to leave the rod in the boat strapped down,i can put it in the truck with me.I was throwing tens, mag dawgs and big games

I have had a few guys email me over the last few months about the strength of the new 2pc TI rods. Well, I had a customer that just sent me a few pictures of his recent trips. Many more fish caught on the new 2pc vs the below but I think you get the point He said he used the rod through the trip and loved it for these saltwater game fish as well as the musky he caught.
