Location: IL | Hey guys I'm interested in learning new spots and areas on the fox that have good chances of holding muskies. I fish the yorkville area alot, but would really like to try some new spots. Any help/advise would be great!

| There are muskies up and down the river. Your best bet is to fish the dams and creek mouth areas. Anywhere you can find deeper water and find suckers can hold fish once in a while. There are a lot of shad in the river now. If you can find them, that area is worth a shot. Batavia is a good place to start. Good luck. |

Location: oswego, il | Keep in mind the river is very low as is the current. The wi river in portage was 86 last weekend the fox has to be 90. |

| For whatever reason the Fox river is usually 70-75 degrees in the mornings whenever it reaches 80-85 degrees. I have never seen it hit 90...ever. That is fishing off a boat with a depthfinder. As long as you are off the water by noon you should be okay. There is one AREA at least a mile long that NEVER reaches 80 degrees that everybody and their mother knows about and is usually the ONLY place people think you can go to catch a muskie in the river, so it can get crowded. If you are wading, better hope their hasn't been 5-10 people fishing there before you. I prefer to fish the river by boat. Then again, they move around so much in the river that it doesn't matter. Be in a good spot at the right time and you might hook into one just like anywhere else. Good luck. |

Location: IL | Me and my buddy brendon missed a couple the other day.. I had a 40+ on a fat belly ratteler that came unpined in a matter of secs  and ya in morning the water temps are 75-80 reaching mid 80's during the day.. |

| I use to know a good spot, but do to poachers its s*@ks now! With the water levels so low now, I believe it is a good time to learn the river(new areas) Good luck!! |

Location: IL | I was there today fishing for smallies, and saw a giant 46" fish, laying dead on the shore. It was a terrible sight to see. Almost made me tear up a bit |

Location: Northern Wisconsin | what stretcht? I have seen tons of dead pike and a dead musky the past few days. All pretty big. The warm/low water is taking a toll on the pike/muskie. Definitely not the time to be targeting either species. I know how you feel, it sucks to see em dieing. |

Location: Northern Wisconsin | I'm up north a few dams, geneva/batavia stretch. Wish it would rain sometime. Between poachers, pollution, and these horrendous water conditions I am shocked the river still kicks out fish. |

| I am here in the st. charles/geneva area and the river is still insanely low but it did come up a little bit. That may be do to the little rain we got as well as the rain that sections of the river north of me (st charles/geneva) got. I think areas like north east illinois and south wisconsin got some water so that trickled down a little. Still disturbingly low but we really cant do anything. There is a section of the river I was wading through yesterday. small mouth fishing, and I could tell it was at least 10 degrees cooler and seemed like it was a 5-8 yard section. But as I walked I stayed in the same depth but could tell a noticeable increase in water temperature just 3-4 yards away and further . Please correct me if I am wrong, but could I have stumbled onto the original "fox river" or the "original flow of the river." Because when I continued to wade through the river even in sections of similar height none of the water was a cool as that "original" section. There where no creeks or runoffs near me so maybe I was had too much sun and not enough water but it seemed like something to think about. |
