We are looking at two days of sun and warm weather (60's). Should we expect the fish move up on the flats and get shallow. They have been in 10-20 foot of water off of steep drops and creek channels for two weeks. Water temp was 45 last Sunday. Thanks

Chad, I'll let you know Friday night, if I have any luck. Going over tomorrow, maybe Saturday morning. Looks like you guys did well last weekend. I tried Friday, but not much luck. 1 little one on a tiger tube. I'll post ya tomorrow, I'm gonna spend some time in wood and shallows.

Chad...

I went out this afternoon, I live in western WI, temp was 61 water was 41 degrees. I fished a river, I fully expected them to come shallow in the warm sun. I boated one and lost a nice one. Both were on the sunny shore in less than 8 feet of water. Both were taken on Undertakers worked slowly. I was out for a total of three hours from 1:00 - 4:00 the sun had had a chance to warm the shore/rocks by then.

Tomorrow I will wait for the sun to get fairly high say at least 10:00am and will start with the same type of pattern but on a different lake.

Side note... I was graphing some nice sized fish from 8' to surface suspended in 20+ feet of water today. Of course we don't know what species they were but from judging the size of the hooks they put on my sonar they were either darn big pike or muskies. Seemed they enjoyed the sun and nice temps as much as I did...[;)]

Hope this helps a little.

Mark

I have found that during warming trends, especially in the very late fall, the fish do move up some where the warming is signifiant. If it is sunny, check the edges of the very first break, even on the sand.

I'm not much help Chad. Went out today and the water temp dropped the entire time I was out until about 4:30. It came up to 43.5. I beat the heck out of everthing and only had one hit twitching a rapala by bouy. Didn't see it so don't even know what it was. I still marked a lot of fish suspended in 30' of water though. Good luck tomorrow. I've gotta sight in some guns. If ya decide you wanna drag some suckers over east sometime let me know.[:((]

I was about to post an identical report to Shawn's. Shawn were you on the chain this afternoon? The only fish I could find on the graph were suspended at about 18ft in 30FOW.

The warming didn't help me. Tried it all...shallow sun baked rocks....weed edge...deep transition spots...Did manage a 30 incher on a suick off of a fast break rock break line...but that was it!!! UGGH!

Well maybe sunday when the weather moves in.

2 Days of warm weather means very little, in fact it's a blip.

It really means nothing,, it may make you, us,, as fishermen feel better,,, but the water temps where the fish spend the greater part of there time will not make them any more active! Sorry,,,,[::)]

Fished the warming trend to no avail, we managed a 30" on a sucker that was down about 4' in 22' of water. We fished the shallows, the deep, and the breaks. The only fish I was marking were in 12'-25' of water suspended about 10'-15' down. Sometimes they just don't do what you think they are going to do!!!!!![:knockout:]
