Hey guys, i Just purchased an old autopilot trollingmotor from creigslist. This is my first Minnkota, and i noticed the head likes to bounce around a lot. im going to be doing over 10 hours of travel this weekend with my boat, do you think there will be a problem with the motor bouncing up and down? or is there a way i can secure it? i have heard of the bounce buster, but that seems like its for motors like the Maxxum and Fortex with the body under the head. i was thinking of using velcro maybe? what are your ideas on bracing this motor for the long trip ? thanks.

There is a RAM mount stabilizer you can get and there is also one that is velcro as you suggest, though I forget the name. I think its called "rod saver". Either would work.

Bungies work well, even better if you cut a piece of wood or aluminum to fit between the deck and motor shaft as a support and tighten it all down using a bungie around the shaft and a front cleat
