Going to Canada in August, just debating where. Lac Seul, Eagle, The woods, Minaki,Cliff all have been checked out, but any suggestions on which has been better in august? We are willing to try other lakes, just want a good place to fish for musky, and catch walleye and perch to keep the wife happy. Lake of the woods was good last year, but wouldn't mind to see new area.

Want to hire a guide for muskies or tire out your wife catching walleyes go to AML on Eagle. Want to work for your walleyes with decent musky fishing go to Minaki. My sole trip this year will be 2 weeks in august in Minaki with a couple of day trips to go see Herbie. Usually I have 2 July weeks in Minaki and a 1 week trip in August to Eagle. That's out due to my wife getting screwed out of her job.

Thanks for the info. We had fun at lake of the woods last year and had awesome walleye and perch action. Moved alot of big muskies, but it was hard to get them to commit. Caught muskies, it just seemed like the pressure was a factor at that time. Most of the people in the camp had the same issues, so I didn't feel to bad.
