Just wondering where I can find a power handle for a 400b calcutta, or if somebody has a slightly used one. Thanks!

Got mine from Dave's Reel Service, very happy with it. Perfectly balanced for the 400B, makes a big difference pulling big blades

Pappy,

Did you buy the custom weighted/balanced handle from Dave's or the stock power handle for your Calcutta?

Walker,
There is a new option to consider. I just started manufacturing a new, double paddled power handle I call the Super Cranker. It is currently available at Smokey's Muskie Shop, in Pewaukee, and I have one that fits the 400B. It is 5 inches from paddle to paddle and greatly decreases the amount of effort to crank the double tens. I prototyped one last summer and it worked so well for me I decided to make the plunge and manufacture them. Paddles are rubber urethane and very comfortable to use. Handles are made from anodized aluminum. All stainless steel hardware and made in the good old USA (my basement and Uncle's machine shop). Give Smokey's a call (262) 691-9659, hopefully my photo's will attach!

I did have a chance to throw a Dbl 10 a bit last fall with one of Rocko's Super Cranker's handle added to a 400b Calcutta and it did make reeling easy.
Neat handle for pulling Dbl 10's!
