Location: Minnesota | I attempted to pull the standard Terova 18' pedal cable though a Ranger 621 from the rear battery box, where the rear deck extension is, to the front Terova so folks were not tripping over the wire while casting from the deck. Unfortunately, the 18' cable isn't long enough and at a minimum I need and additional 3' but actually want another 6' to 10' to make using the foot pedal practical from anywhere on the rear deck extension or 20' to make it practial from anywhere in the boat.
I've looked all over the net for an MinnKota foot pedal cable extension for the Terova but have only found a couple of the flat type connectors. I need the round one's for the Terova. I have an email into MinnKota but haven't heard anything from them yet.
Anyone know if MinnKota makes foot pedal cable extensions for the Terova or does any have a work around or advice?
Any assistance or advise would be greatly appreciated.

| They do NOT. I talked to the rep and the ends weren't even available. I talked to Jack Kordiak at Actions electronics in MN and we put together some spare parts and made one up. Simple to do if you can get your hands on the right connectors(ends) |

| I've not seen inside a foot pedal cable myself, but I have spliced transducer and power cables. I'd bet it's 16 or 18 ga wire, get some splices, a crimper, do one at a time and make it as long as you need. |

| I don't know if it can be done and I'm no electrician. But, if there is one guy who can make it happen, it is Ed Schilling. He lives in West Allis, WI and is all things Minn-Kota. If it can be done, Ed is the guy to do it. Give him a call and see what he thinks.... 414 321 9662. |
