Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | Hey guys, Looking to get some gloves for releasing fish. I have a few sets of rapala gloves that are nice for handling the fish. But what about when you reach down to unhook the beast and she head shakes trebles right into your hand or wrist? Never happend to me and I would like to keep it that way. I have been looking at Welders Gloves as well as Kevlar gloves. Even have a site with some options... Please let me know of any thoughts or stradagies and what you all are using that has helped. Experience with this would help if anyone has had this happen while wearing gloves.

Do you think it would handle a good amount of hooking pressure with how sharp we make our hooks? Anyone had a personal experience where this happened and you didn't get hooked? |

Location: Eastern Ontario | Lots of cut resistant gloves not much puncture proof and not a lot of finger dexterity in a welding glove. The best I have found are Superior Touch Dyneema S13SXPU They are very thin and used in food manufacturing plants to protect from machinery and knife cuts. They dry quickly are washable and don't stink.
When fishing alone consider going barbless you may like it enough to do it all the time. |

| Like horsehunter said, you are looking for puncture proof not cut resistant and your options are limited. Hexarmor is the best choice for what you are looking for. check out the SharpsMaster II, the PointGuard™ X or the SharpsMaster™ HV. They are not cheap and may seem like overkill but the one time they save you a trip to the ER, you will be thankful you have them! Location: Mt. Zion, IL | I have had my Lindy gloves for about 5 years now. I have not had any failures and I have gripped over 300 muskies with them. I will never be without the Lindy gloves.
When these gloves first came out a guy lipped a 50" muskie just to prove how puncture resistant these gloves really are. I can't find the video now, but it was very popular when they first came out. |

All times have been while using larger crankbaits like Depthraiders. I don't mess with a musky/pike now without my Lindy glove on. |

I decided to get a pair of these gloves from here last night and my credit card company called me today and said I had strange activity on my card. Someone hacked my card for $654 to a general store in the Netherlands. I also had a paypal fee. Proceed with caution with this website. |

Location: Sycamore, IL | I took my friend, who is mainly a bass fisherman, muskie fishing for the first time and he caught a mid thirty inch fish. I tossed him my Lindy glove to help him handle the fish. When I came back to check on him he had the muskie lipped just like you would a bass! I was laughing so hard, wish I would have taken a picture of his "technique". The Lindy Glove works pretty good...

Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | Thanks for all of the info guys. I really appreciate it. I like having no hooks in my hand as I had a few close calls last year. I am defiantly going to pick up some gloves. Looking like one of the sharpssaftey gloves (even though the website freaks me out now) or the Lindy Glove. Either way I will feel much better about it when you are up close and personal with the fish and the hooks.

Location: montreal, canada | Actually the gloves from hexarmor that some of you as talk about simmer in this post were needle resisant they will not resist a hook ponctre wih all the presure that a musky can put ... you should go for this model
