I'm not saying don't try this product because I haven't used it, God knows I try just about everything, but it doesn't look that functional to me. When I have a muskie in the net (frabill power catch) I just wrap a few strands of the net around one of the boat cleats and you don't have to worry about the net anymore.
If it's supposed to hold the net extended over the water so you don't have to scoop the muskie with one had, which can get tricky, you would have to leave it out extended while you were fishing, and that doesn't appeal to me. It does look like it might be able to position the net out of the way in the boat a little bit, but with these newer huge nets, it's hard to find a good spot for them in the boat no matter where you put them. Just me 2 cents.

I ordered one and am thinking it will be a good addition to the boat. I run a smaller boat (16 ft Kind Rebel tiller) and with no rod storage for musky length rods (I bring 4), lack of in boat storage for musky sized lures leaving me with a large box in the boat, space is precious. My primary intrigue with this product is it will keep the net out of the boat. This will be great as I can't tell you how many times I have (a) tripped on the net bag, (b) got lures snagged on it or (c) got my reel handle or rod guide tangled in the bag. Keeping that net bag out is a small win in my mind. As for how it will work after netting a fish, I'm not sure until I get it. I'll follow up with an update.

to me, just because the net is outside the boat doesnt mean it is out of the way? it still seems like if i was fighting a big fish it would be in the way if i had to walk around the boat to fight the thing?
