Thinking of switching oil to help gas mileage and reduce engine smoke. If anyone has used this oil or has any other recomendation I would appreciate you input.

Thanks
Doc

Pretty pricey oil, had friends run it in their drag sleds. Didnt think it was any better than Torco,Klotz or Amsoil.

I personally dont agree with having to run MFG's oil in motors. The DFI motors yes, but anything else no. Do you actually think OMC, Merc, Yamaha have a refinery? They buy it just like anyone else.

There was an excellent article in one of the 'Bass and Walleye Boats' magazines comparing oils. The bottom line was there is little difference in performance or formulation in the TCW 3 oils sold today.

I run Mercury OptiMax oils in my Opti, as a warranty issue and the fact opti oil is a semi-synthetic.

My XR6 ran on Wal Mart TCW3 for years with out a burp. My son's 20 Mariner is running very well after hundreds if not thousands of hours on the same oil.

I ran Amsoil for a couple years, and decided to go back to regular TCW 3 oil because of cost factors and availability here.
