Anyone have some advice on some affordable(cheap) trolling or sucker rods. I'm looking at the fenwick elite tech 8'6 glass. Looking for something with a medium to heavy build with a moderate or medium action.

I have the ugly sticks.10' dipsy diver modle.I like them a lot.Caught a small tiger on one today. They will pull small or big stuff just fine and i like how i can always see and feel that my lure is running straight. found out about them from Jeff Hanson. Do a search. He has some very good insite.

Black River Rods has a rod they call "troll N' live". i used it last year and found them to be a very good rod!! I think it was around $110.

I also used the Black River Live n Troll last year. While I used it only for sucker rigs it performed flawlessly. Loads up great you won't be disappointed. Give them a serious look.

I will second the Black River "Live and Troll", I have used it on 6" baits and 10" baits and fish up to 4' and works great.
