Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | I have a Viper WTD action, and it is cracked on the belly going length wise. The crack is about 2 1/2 inches long. I was going through some stuff and noticed it. What can I do to seal that? Is there a quick fix? Or would it even be an issue in the first place?
Any suggestions would help.
Thanks |

Location: Eagan, MN | Does the crack extend to where the screw eye is? I MIGHT be concerned if that's the case. I fixed a few plastic baits that were cracked along the belly, using 2 part epoxy. I used a dremel to open up the cracks so water could drain out, as well as give me a little space to cram epoxy into. Works great and holds up just fine. |

I think vipers are solid plastic, so it's kind of a judgment call how deep you want to go, but 1/2" is probably plenty. You can use a toothpick, finishing nail or something similar to push the epoxy all the way in and clear out any air pockets. |
