| Anybody on here Fish WBL? I fish it often and have most of my luck on the islands and on the East side... Just wondering if any of you fish the south end and the south west shore line straight across from Manitou Island.. have you had luck? |

| When I first started musky fishing about 15 years ago, I used to have WBL to myself many nights of the week. A busy night out there would be seeing a handful of other musky boats.
Unfortunately now, even though I live 3 miles away, I limit my time on WBL. I just cannot handle 20 musky boats out there, it drives me crazy.
That being said, I've seen fish all over that lake. If by "islands" on the east side you mean the underwater humps, yes, those are great spots.
That SW shoreline now is so shallow, I haven't been in there in years.

Location: Right behind you (tap, tap) BOOO | Gonna be a pretty tough crowd to squeeze any info out of being a HIGH PRESSURE metro lake, but I can tell you there isn't a section on the lake that I/We won't fish at some point through out the year. |

| I've fished WB a lot for the past 10 years and there really aren't any special spots - there are fish everywhere and patterns change often. An area that produces one year or during one period often does not produce the next year or even on a different day... I do have a couple spots I use as "barometer spots" which I try to check first - if I move fish then I'll run and gun quickly because I'm guessing fish are on the move, conversely if I don't move anything I know I'm probably gonna need to try multiple options.
I'm also learning more and more to be mobile - with BE and Forest close by I'll hop to another lake if I'm not moving fish on one. That strategy has worked better for me than trying to flog all day on one lake. |

| Thanks for all the info! I've had pretty good luck on BE I still have to venture out further and get to know Forest Lake. |
