| Is this needed when the transom on the boat is higher on the sides then in the middle? This may be a stupid question but I have no idea how it works. Thanks |

Even though the transom mounting may be higher for the kicker, when you are not on plane, there is plenty of prop in the water for the kicker. Do not go to a 25" shaft for your kicker, or you'll have issues when getting on plane, and in rough water. |
