Location: Sussex, NJ | Starting to make some of my own bucktails and wondering whats the best method to bend the wire? Do you guys use wire bending machines or drills? Any input and methods would be appreciated!

Location: NJ | I have a boggs tackle maker and a few pairs of round nose pliers. I tend to use the pliers more. |

| I use round nose pliers, pro-series long nose compound action pliers for an extra strong grip and a vice grip i filed the teeth down so it doesn't dig in on the wire. Basically I get the round bend first and then use the vice grip on the hoop area and use the compound pliers to bend the wire usually twice around the main shaft and cut it. A small file helps to take a bit of the sharpness out of the cut wire so you don't ever have to worry about line abrasion if it gets wrapped. Hope this makes sense. |

| If you get good with the round nose pliers your loops can look as good if not better then the tackle makers can make ? Plus when you get used to bending wire by hand the sky is the limit to what you can twist up . |
