Location: MadCity Wisconsin | To me its worth double the coin. Takes the guess work out of the picture for bait dive curves, therefore saves time on the water. Gotta love the water proof pages also. |

It's not specified in the 2nd edition either. It's a handy book, I use it sometimes. |

It's not specified in the 2nd edition either. It's a handy book, I use it sometimes.
If they didn't go to the trouble to be more exacting on their own lure how accurate can the rest of the book be. |

Location: Racine, Wi | Drifter didn't create the dive charts for the book, so they may not even know that there is no mention of which line tie is in there. They bought the rights to the book from the guys that originally created the book. They jumped in the water, ran baits, took notes, and did a very good job to get you in the right zone with depths. |

I don't own the book but couldn't you just figure this out by the maximum running depth that is listed in the book? Drifter gives the max depths casting and trolling for each eye on the package and it's a sizeable difference. I'm sure there's some variance based on speed and numerous other variables but it should be quicker than going back and forth in the shallows making notes of where it hits bottom.

Location: Eastern Ontario | In the past for the limited trolling I have done I would hold my rod 1 foot above the surface and note how far back the line entered the water if it was 3 feet I would assume the lure was diving 1 foot for every 3 feet of line. This could be calculated for different dive angles. I figured this got me in the ball park but on long leads there might be a little lift caused by drag. Where I fish I could go through a lot of lures contacting bottom.
