Been wanting to make some shad style lures and some deeper running baits. Is there a standard lip angle that most of you use?

I am very green to this also but 36 to 40 degrees looks like a good starting point. Bill style and shape is another factor in this addicting hobby. I try one step at a time then move on to next hurdle . G ood luck.
