Location: North Central, Indiana | any preferrance on what color is best for night fishing. Thinking of adding some blue water lights. just not sure on color. Any input would be appreciated.

| Depends. You'll hear lots of answers. I did some researching because I'm doing the same thing. From what I can tell Red is the way to go because it will have the least amount of impact on your night vision. Some people say green, think of map reading rooms on ships. Blacklight UV would be beneficial in some cases. Also consider insects. UV attracts the most insects, with white light being second. Red and yellow don't attract bugs because they can't see it. Blue is less intense. I've gone full circle. Started out with blue then decided against it because red seems the best. But I'm going with blue because of the cool factor. Red just doesn't do it for me. Probably confused you even more with this post. Sorry. |

| Unfortunately thats been proven to be inaccurate. Wish it were true, but its not. Safest bet is red. But the blue and green look pretty sweet.... |
