Random quote: Muskies are nasty. They stink. They taste bad. They are hard to catch and will disappoint even the most devoted angler. The lures required cost more than some women's jewelry. The rods and reels require a remortgage of the house. The boat is always worth more than the tow vehicle. Sure beats the hell out of golf.

I have a few new baits that in years past, tend to get hook rash and peel paint off fairly quickly...I don't want to a thick clear coat like enviro tex...as these are jointed baits...is there something simple I can pick up at a automotive store or a lowes or home depot that I can spray on, will work fairly decent and won't add a bunch of weight to the baits??? Can I use an aersole can of clear coat or laquer??? Thanks!!!
