Location: Finland | i think most of the guys make there own temples and stencils. I've done the same from day one. its fairly simple all you need is a sharp knife ( surgical or carper knife) and some paper or thin plastic sheets and a steady hand. |

Location: Loves Park, IL | Most builders make their own using all sorts of materials (mylar, plastic milk cartons, construction paper, frisket material, etc.)
For some very basic patterns try http://www.tacklemaking.com/maskingpatterns.pdf. The only pattern I have used from this page is the firetiger, which is pretty good.
Another tip, when you design or find a pattern you like, scan it into your computer. This way you can adjust the size of the pattern for various size lures using a photo editing software.
Good Luck! |

| I started making baits about 6 month ago. The best tool I found to make stencil is a STENCIL BURNER knife looks like a solder iron but has a fine bent tip, best used is with FRISKET paper made for this, not expensive. The knife cuts through the frisket paper like butter, the frisket paper its like a thin sheet of plasic dull on one side that you can trace or draw with a pencil. you can find this at art supply stores here is a link http://www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com/knives.html
