A sanding sealer is usually required...I have also used primers such as zinzer or kilz to seal the wood which also worked well for me. Go to your nearest fabric shop such as Jo-Ann Fabrics and buy you up some soft mesh netting and have at it. Good Luck and enjoy!

a sweet scale pattern that last is found at the hardware store . Check out the sheet rock patching kits that come with a thin tin plate with some sweet scales between 2 to 4 bucks depending on size

really good scale pattern can be found at second hand stores on old 80s style football jerseys or the bags marbles come in Sometimes ill wander wal mart looking every where for things that are packaged in mesh bags . or have mesh pouches or pockets. Look in the sponge isle/ as well as the toys department . check out backpacks with mesh side pockets . check out the hardware department look at fiberglass repair kits or tire repair kits . Wall patch kits and some sheet .rock tapes fabric coolers . You would be surprised at how many different patterns you can add to your tool box this way. lots of cool scales patterns are their right now!
