I was wondering if anybody has used the Hot Pot II for melting down lead? I am considering getting one. I was also looking at a lead ladle on lurepartsonline for $9.99...I could use a torch and melt the lead in that. Any pros or cons of either? Thanks!

I use both!! I use the lee melting pot to melt down bulk lead into usable sizes. I have a bunch of bullet molds to cast bullets 45cal 38cal etc. I melt it all down to bullets and then use a ladle and torch after that.
