should i get the curado 300ej or the 300e for casting big lures and reeling in musky.

both are real good reels but if your going over 3 or 4oz with baits or hard pulling baits go with something else..

Casting big lures is different than retrieving hard restistance lures. I have casted mamoth curly sues just fine with my curado they weight 23oz. I dont do it all day because it is hard on your body but the reel has no issues.

I dont understand where people can put a maxium lure weight on a reel? It does not make sense to me.

If you were choosing between those two i would go with the 300E, because the line retrieval per crank is a good all around retrieve.

Yes they will reel in a musky just fine like every other musky reel.

Both of those reels are good well built reels and should be happy with either one.
