Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Sue and I hit Minocqua today, got a dozen nice perch and gills, a couple images and a video clip, and that got me thinking...messing with a muskie. I could have poked that thing in the nose and it would have just sat there. It came in on the Aqua-Vu camera body, which looks like a bluegill. Posts: 456 Location: Kansas City BBQ Capitol of the world | Amazing footage. With all these small, low priced, high quality water proof cameras that have came out in the past few years there will be some really cool videos to come. I want one! Good stuff! Ron

Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | This clip was shot with an Aqua-Vu AV760cz. Great camera, best production model underwater camera I've ever used. Attachments ---------------- cache_240_240_760cz.jpg (5KB - 114 downloads)

Posts: 134 | Nice footage Steve. Unfortunately, that looks like alot of Muskies my bait goes over during the regular open season. How is the snow and ice doing up there ?

Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Snowing now a bit, looking at maybe an inch. ice is at about 18" most lakes in Oneida and Vilas, much less south of here just 40 miles. Ice out will be quick this Spring.

Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | GJ, Nope. Wasn't fishing Muskies (obviously) when the fish came in, and bouncing a tiny Darter (no leader, 6# line, and the smallest darter made) around the fish is not a bit illegal. If I wanted to stick that fish (which I didn't, I wanted it to leave because I'll catch nothing at all as long as it sits looking at the Aqua-Vu camera) I'd have put down a big shiner on a magnum Slick Jig. I keep a rig all set up next to me in the Frabill all the Ice game fish season and catch a BUNCH of Pike on it that way. Never have caught a Muskie on one though. Any other questions?
