I am interested in thoughts on using a St Croix Slingblade for lures such as 6-7.5" Phantoms, Hellhounds, and similar gliders. I have been using an 8' St Croix Premier H ,and the specs are comparable to the Slingblade. Just wanted to hear from people who have used this rod for that application. Thanks.

I use it all the time for them. It is great the only thing that I would say is you have to learn how to work baits to the side and not just down. It was not hard for me and many in my boat have had no issues. I use the Big Nasty also fro them without ant problems.
Cant go wrong with St Croix the sling blade can be used for more things than you can list.
