| I want to get into trolling a little bit more this year and want to pick up a couple line counters. Does anyone have any preferences? I would like to stay on the cheaper end with them and also thought it would be nice if i could get away with the smaller sizes so i can use them for walleye a little too. I guess the biggest question is will the drags hold up on the cheaper smaller ones pulling medium sized cranks |

Location: Warroad, Mn | I've been using the Okuma Convector line counters for a number of years with great success. The drags have held up great! I use the CV-20D which I would think will work for eyes as well. Doug Johnson |

Location: Warroad, Mn | Yes, I've used them also and they worked fine. I think the guts (gears, drags) are pretty much the same as the Convectors. Doug Johnson |

Location: lansing, il | Another vote for Okuma Convectors. I use them for Muskies, trolling, jigging and sucker fishing, as well as trolling for Salmon and Walleye. |
