Any suggestions on a place to stay that would include boat rentals? I'm looking to book a trip for me and my son. We will need the general set up, depth finder, trolling motor, but don't need much power a 40 to 50hp would be fine. Not interested in driving up with a rig and if I can stay at a place that rents boats, it sure would make for a easier trip.

I have stayed at the Bay store in the past and love it, but I don't think Frank has boats for rent.

Thanks!
Mike

There's not a lot of good options for boat rentals up in the NW Angle, at least that I am aware of.

Witch Bay camps has good rental boats, and so does Canadian Haven Resort in Nestor Falls

Check out http://www.frolanderresort.com They have very nice boats available. I’ve used their 50hp tiller “outfitters” before and they are sweet. Great resort too, 50 inchers are caught from the dock there!

Tamarack Island Wilderness Lodge rents boats. They are 16' Lunds with new 20 or 25 hp 4 stroke motors. They have a floor, swivel seats, a humminbird gps/fishfinder, and 5 gallons of gas per day.
