Posts: 479 Location: Eden Prairie & Pine Island | Depending on the size of the rubber trailer you want to affix to your bait, the plastic anchor screws for sheet rock screws work pretty good and are available in different sizes at the home improvement stores. Posts: 625 Location: ashtabula ohio | yeah that is pretty much what the back half of the screw looks like. but ive seen metal ones that first screw into the tail of the bait with a small thread on them, then the back part of the screw has fat thread on it like those plastic anchors to hold a big grub..

Posts: 84 | Gman A good suggestion but how do you attach the "flat" end to the bait itself....epoxy?

Posts: 360 | Screw a wood screw into the bait til about an inch is left out. Use a dremil and cut off the head of the screw. Take some super glue and put the tail right on the screw. Works perfect

Posts: 531 Location: Hugo, MN | Just drill a hole big enough to fit the head of the screw into, deep enough to leave desired threads exposed and epoxy the screw into place, filling the hole. No need to worry about the finish around the hole since the tail will cover it all and the epoxy will seal everything. I've used Wall Dog brand screws and they hold tails well. I haven't checked to see if they make a stainless version, but that would be ideal.

I just put a little epoxy in the hole, then put the head in, the top off with epoxy and you should be good. If I can do it, anyone can. lol
