At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

So briguy48 calls a guy out for making him dumber and basically tries to public embarrass a person, then claims God should have mercy on his soul. Cracks me up. H

You clearly haven't seen Billy Madison...

Tom is admittedly hopped up on some pain meds, cut him some slack, his posts are usually pretty entertaining and you can even learn a thing or two a lot of the time. Not always about fishing, either.

I like HFBF, but I especially like the muskie shows. Like someone else said I don't much care for fishing in Australia or the Amazon. Great shows, just not for me, and I generally flip around when they are on, whereas the muskie shows get multiple viewings. Keep making those musky shows Larry. I thought some of those fish out of Melton Hill were dandies anyways.

Tom I get it, you like the shows of him on our dream trips that we seldom to ever go on, or those off the beaten path shows, chasing fish that we do not see everyday. We sit and watch and only dream of making one of those dream trips, and yet Larry has had the opportunity to be on numberous of these adventures on yearly basis while we sat back and dream of being on those trips once in our lifetime. That was the excitement of the show you liked. Love wastching musky shows and gaining knowledge and truly enjoy them all, but the trip of chasing sail, tuna, shark and other exotics really to get my blood flowing.

I have, enjoy Adam Sandler, but books and more educational things tend to stay with me more than nonsense, but it puts most of the posts in perspective. H

Larry,

Are you going to start producing that double bladded lure you were using? It would be a great addition to the other lure you released for public purchase.

No plans to at this point. To be honest, I don't have it totally tuned in yet from a couple of perspectives. As you may know, if you watch the show, I gave the molds to my friend Brad the new dad Hoppe and was hoping he'd make 'em so I didn't have to!
Towards perhaps a solution to your obvious end double wubble wish, making the most simple open back mold in the world, bending a couple of wires, and mix one little batch of goop, pour in in mold, dump in 2-4 oz number 9 lead shot, let harden. (appx ten minutes depending on size. Larger is faster)
Mike (aka Goop King) from Alumilite and I have been working on some processes that allow a person to eliminate the need for a lead melter, a compressor, airbrush, lathe, or any other tool you couldn't get in a Phone Booth in making professional looking lures.
That is one of them and it works great and so far has proven tough as nails and it can be done literally in minutes from start to finish on your kitchen table if you have a master!
If you understand the simple principle of head weight versus blade drag on the drop and how variations in blade size and shape affect how fast or slow the lure falls on slack line, then how fast you have to (or don't) move it to achieve a given depth or follow a contour or vertical feature it is often a tool that works when other stuff doesn't.
Tangling on the cast can be a problem if it isn't just right. Both on the arms and on the back hook. When just right it casts a country mile with very few tangles.
The problem is all the variables.
Maybe you can help figure it out!
The other option is to bend up some wire that been jammed through an egg sinker. Maybe capture it in a tube and crimp then stick in sinker . I'd use a rivet with the center punched out. The aluminum centered ones come out easily. Still a few months left of this very civil winter to tinker with it.
good luck!,
L

What was that soft plastic single hook bait you were using?

Larry -

We have only met several times and enjoyed our conversations. I want to say THANK YOU for your years as an educator and innovator. And now a leader of a Grass Roots movement. It reminds of the late 80's when a group of MN fisherman petitioned the MNR to make Lac Suel a catch and release fishery.

Many people aren't aware of your early years as a lure designer and member of In-Fisherman. As a boy (I am now in my mid-Forties) I remember you going to remote places with the InFish staff in search of Big Muskies and Pike. The reality is I wanted to muskie fish after watching an epidode of you (and I believe Don Pursch or Jim Linder) on what I remember to be Rowan Lake. Correct me if I am wrong.

I can only imagine what the years of traveling the globe does to ones body (and probably intestinal tract), and family life. I think its great you are going back to your roots.

I am hoping you have a chance to reconnect with Doug. My cabin is right across from his and perhaps we can have a bump together. You would be welcome more than at one of my shore lunches that I do throughout the season on LOTW.

Thanks for everything, I would have never gone down the Muskie path, sometimes I wish I hadn't.

Best reagrds,

Dan Klis

The striper show filmed in TN was on this afternoon. Hopefully I'll get to see/record the Tranx/musky episode tonight. Anyone have any info of what is expected this evening?

The Striper show that was on this afternoon will be on again tonight according to my guide on DirectTV. "Minnesota Muskies" is shown on my guide to run again on Thursday the 19th of January on DirectTV channel 603 NBCSHD. Keep up the great work, Larry.

Tommy, you rock. Larry, so do you. You critical (insert insult) who know or care little for the culture that is the real deal in Muskie fishing off the beaten concrete and steel pathways....well. you need to watch Larry's show and read Tommy's posts.

The Kid Rules. Most of you would cut off a finger to live like he does. And he's a heck of alot closer to his Creator than most of you will ever be.

'Keep on rocken'...

Good advice.

I like both the musky shows and the exotic ones. My wife will watch the exotic locations with me and she don't fish just likes to see the places HFBF goes. If it's a musky HFBF she has no interest, if that's worth anything.

You know what I would love to see? I'd love to see guys like Herbie, Doug Johnson, Pearson, Sandy, and the likes get on here and post a few things under some anonymous name that only I knew what it was, just so I could read the replies from folks who have no idea who they are taking to. You can keep your glee and dancing with the stars and TV crap... I'd pay money for that kind of enetrtainment!!!
