I can only seem to find these things every now and then on ebay...why arent there many of them and what is the difference between these and the 301 E I have? I would be interested in a left 301 if any of you guys have one youre willing to part with

I believe the difference is gear ration, dhsv is 7:1, dpv is 5:1, your 301e is 6:1. The dhsv/dpv are older year model curados.

Spool size, drag, handle, gearing, overall size, ect. Aside from the paint and name, the old 100/200 sized D series Curado's are nothing like the 300 sized DSV/E. Totally different animals.

200DHSV - 7:1 200 size; 200DPV - 5:1 200 size. These are true bass reels. For musky.... I wouldn't. Some do with light topwater, very small bucktails, and smaller jigs.

I've got 6 of the DHSV's. I use them for burning bucktails for the Tigers we chase. I change out the stock handle with a handle from a 300E and fish them on a Top $ Tail or the new Long Ranger. Mike.
