Thanks in advance for replies. Only tiger muskies but Pineview and Newton are great. Newton is about an hour or so from Ogden. Pineview is 15 minutes from Ogden up Weber Canyon. Sorno, a guy on here, caught a 51.5 out of Pineview a few years back. We have had a few double digit days between Pineview and Newton as well. Weber St?

Posts: 16632 Location: The desert | Newton is probably my favorite. If you don't catch at least one or see 40 fish, you are doing something wrong haha! Mckay-Dee hospital? Have you ever been to Utah?

Posts: 532 Location: Ogden, UTAH 10 minutes from pineview reservoir | Pineview res is awesome for big tigers! Newton is also fun but is a small lake and gets overcrowded with 4 or more boats! Pineview is 15 minutes from ogden, my biggest this year was right around 46 however there are some hogs 50+ inchers!

Midweek can be awesome out there with very little traffic. Pineview can get over run with the power squadron on weekends as well, but it is big enough to get away from them a little bit.

Posts: 138 Location: Utah | Yep there are a small handful of dedictated anglers out here in UTAH who pursue Tiger Muskies. Pineview has some behemoth/girtha Tigers in it. Yep and in the summer on Pineview...well its the most heavily recreated waters in Northern Utah. Surface acreage at full pool...hmmm pushing 2900 acres total water craft on the water during the summer can be anywhere from 350-450 with lines at the fee stations waiting for boats to come off so they can get on...lots of fun but when one is dedicated to this fish you'll put up with it. Have nerves of steel right MuskieCat94....

I am definitely intrigued. Dan It is an interesting place that is for sure. I lived in Ogden for 3 years or so. It is an alright town. Don't expect much in the way of sports bars or any bars for that matter. There are a few but they are pretty lame. No real liquor stores, just a couple of state owned liquor stores....so if you want some good beer beyond the 3.2% stuff, you have to go there. Outdoors wise there is a lot of stuff to do. Skiing is phenominal, at least when the snow is good like it was last year. Lots of mountain bike trails, hiking trails. I don't know your interests beyond musky fishing so I'm just tossing stuff out there.

Posts: 532 Location: Ogden, UTAH 10 minutes from pineview reservoir | k2 - yes there is a lot to put up with, while the lake can be a zoo of drunk crazy boaters, its all worth the chance at catching some behemoth hogzonkers! K2 would know they are probably the most consistent catchers and releasers of mondo muskies! Much respect to you k2! 3p's enough said!

Thanks in advance for replies. Now besides the Pineview beasts. PV offers Crappie, Perch, Blue Gill, Sun Fish, SMB, LMB, . Willard Bay North of Ogden down I-15 maybe 10-15 minutes offers great fishing for Wiper (hybrid between a stipped and white bass) along with Walleye, Crappie, Perch. Up the road is Mantua about 30 mins North of Ogden. Offers Blue Gill, Perch, Rainbow Trout, LMB. I'm sure I left some species out. Lots of rivers also with nice size Trout; Brown, Rainbow, and every other scientific experiment of Trout you can imagine.
