Anyone have any tips on how to get this not to happen? I was thinking Teflon coated line would help?

I thought of that but I'm not sure I can bring myself to spray Pam on my rod.

I hear you. I tried it years ago and honestly can’t remember how it worked to prevent ice on the eyes.

Pam never really worked for me. Try some with silicone in it.

I have tried pam and it didnt work all that well. Go to CVS and get Glycerin gel that worked better ................

Vaseline it repels water and no smell but nothing will stop it, it'll slow it down a little.
