On the face page here there is a photo of a man holding a muskelunge (or is it a tiger?). In any event, the color of the fish, the background landscape, the lighting: it is the best fish-photo I saw this year. Where was that fish caught?

Thank you! The tiger musky pictured was 44"...my biggest Tiger to date. My buddy Brent did a tremendous job of netting the fish that we came to find out was barely hooked. She swam off after a few photos. I'll be checking in on her next year...

Not only was the subject matter great but the quality of the photo was great. What kind of camera was used to take the picture? I ask cause I'm looking to buy a new camera. Thanks

I was in the boat when Nunz caught this fish. I actually netted it and then took the photo. It is indeed a beautiful fish. I've never seen a tiger with the coloring and markings this one has and it was a heavy thick fish to hold. Note the size of the dorsal and tail fin - they're huge. I'm guessing this is a pretty old fish and about as big as she is going to grow. I actually took the photo with my iPhone4. The first few I took didn't turn out so well because my buddy was standing with his back to the sun. We maneuvered around so he had the sun in his face (which wasn't easy since I only have a 14 foot boat with a console and it was full of gear, two guys and a huge musky.) The weather was somewhat overcast with scatted clouds which I believe helped with the coloring of the photo. The backdrop just happened to be there because we were fishing on a weed line near an island. I am by no means a professional photographer...not even close...but I do try to at least make sure the subject matter is framed decently and the lighting makes sense. I was still shaking pretty good myself so I'm surprised this photo (and a few others I have of the fish) turned out as well as they did. We had her out of the water for only a few minutes, took a few pics, released her and she swam away with an extra splash to our face "thanking" us for our time.

"What if we put two sets of jumper cables together, jump start it with the truck, and then just troll?"

heheheh. Good times. The best was the look on the guy's face from the Turtle when he walked out with one of those portable jump starter deals and said "I figured if I didn't come out here you guys would be stuck out here all winter!!"
