I've got a lure that is really light on the top clear coat and I wanted to add a top coat to protect it. I don't have the whole air brush set up thing and I was wondering if anyone knows a reliable product I can use to protect it.

Etex makes a spray on clear coat in a can. It's sold at most hardware stores & costs around $12 give or take a buck. Haven't used it myself but have thought about trying it.

The automotive clear in a can works fine. I have used it on a few lures, mainly suicks, where you do not want a thick epoxy coat like E-tex.

I used the spray etex on a few lures. The first time out with them sitting in the sun the clear coat started melting.

Devcon 30 minutes 2 ton epoxy is good option.  You can brush it on the lure.
