Subject: 8" Jake, What are the standard size hooks?

Can anyone tell me what size treble hooks are on the 8" Jake when purchased from the manufacturer? I have a number of these lures and want to rig them for casting. The standard size fouls on too many casts; and I need to go down one size for casting. I had a pack of the right size hooks, but haven't been into my gear for awhile and can't find them. Thanks for any help.

P.S. That's a heck of nice video on the follow in Oneida County.

I'm pretty sure they're 4/0 Eagle Claw 774 (might me 3/0)

Make sure you get VMC hooks (8650 or 9626)

I put Mustad 3/0 short shank round bend hooks on my 8" jake, and they do not foul when casting. I believe 35656BR is the part number. However be aware these hooks have a fairly light wire with a wide gap and they will bend if you put too much pressure on them.
