Anyone know of a plug being made that runs like a Hot-n-Tot only a much larger version...8" to 12" or so for trolling. A scaled up version of the original...in all 3 dimensions...seems to me to what would work if the weighting could be figured out.

I always thought that if a large style Hot-n-Tot was ever made that "kicked out" the same way, muskie guys would crawl over broken glass to get one.
(Jointed believers do this somewhat I know.)

This one comes close to what you are describing~

Also the Helldiver was another with a similar lip configuration and ability to perform under a wide range of speeds.

Never seen one but I have always wanted to make an musky sized Hot-N-Tot with a metal lip so you could just destroy the thing in rocks and sand. You may have your wish in late 2012 I need a few new projects to start on.

James
This is tremendous news.
I want to be your first customer !
Here is a youtube link that shows the Tot in action.

That kick-out where the lure jumps out to the side is awesome. It is the best feature of the lure. Imagine an 8 to 12" lure jumping around like that...it will make the muskies go nuts.
Trolling one of those on Georgian Bay would be the stuff of dreams....and legends.

Anyone know if this sort of lure is now being produced anywhere?
Scaled up in all 3 dimensions so the body is 8" long,or so and we'd have what I think would be the best lure on the market.

Party Crashers run a lot like Hot-n-Tots, they are basicly a large version of the old Bomber WaterDawg.

I have been buildin larger size Bombers 8 and 10 inches for muskies, The reason I started building large size Bombers is me and my brother have been catching big bass and lots of them on the smaller once My 8 inch I can reach 25 feet with no problem around 70 feet of 80 LB. power pro and the 10 inch easly 30 feet plus, it's all in the diving lip, also they have a side to side hunt

I purchased one this summer and it did not work properly, but the older ones are just fine, something must have changed
