I'm thinking of building a rear casting deck on my 14' but as you can imagine I want to keep it lightweight. I also want to use it for bait storage so I'm planning on using either 2"x"2 or 2"x3" downspout inside of it. I'm looking or some lightweight options to get this done. Would aluminum studs be strong enough tostand on? Thanks

As long as the aluminum studs are attached to something solid you should not have any trouble with the strength. Standing alone they tend to like to twist. If you are talking about using them as a horizontal support I would not use them. You would be better off going with aluminum square tubing or angle. IMO
