Posts: 32959 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Violent Strike...good lures, and easy for me to order. My son builds them. Fudally Stump Hawgs, Mike builds me a version I really like. Have a bunch ordered.

Posts: 1030 Location: APPLETON, WI | Funky Chickens or Rabid Squirrels... I guess it sounds kind of silly when you type them out like that, but they're both my go-to spinnerbaits. Awesome action, you can cast them a country mile and they're basically indestructible. I've bounced them off more stumps, rock piles and reefs than I care to admit. ** EDIT: spelling/grammar.

Posts: 80 Location: Clintonville, Wi | I've been doing decent on GP thumpers the last few years. Thanks to Reef Hawg for turning me onto them. The tandems on slow days have saved a few trips for me.

| The Hatchet Shad from Simms Tackle has been my best spinnerbait for years. The hatchet blades really put out a different kind of thump. Check them out at http://simmsoutdoors.com/newest/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&pag... Duane www.illinoismuskies.com | |||

Posts: 2686 Location: Hayward, WI | I have used Rad Dogs in the past with great luck. I bought one of their heavy versions with a #10 blade I look forward to using. I also have a Chochran Bou Bling that I didn't use enough last year that should get more water time. I also bought one from Marv's at the MN show this year. I was "DONE" buying baits but somehow Jeff and his wife Tina lured me into their booth. I was impressed by their baits, and really enjoyed talking to them. Ended up leaving with a closeout color for $10 and he threw in a bunch of different blades too. Very nice people and their baits look to be of great quality. I look forward to using that one. In the right conditions, nothing beats a spinnerbait. Tucker

| If there is a season for this guy (work, you know): Bucher Tandem Slopmasters. Why? They're the only ones I own. Why? Because they were on sale at an online outlet and I thought I'd have a go. Will they work? On any other angler's line they would; but for me they probably won't. Forever realistic. | |||

Posts: 551 Location: Columbus, Georgia | Super Slayer Tackle makes the Slippery Sam, affectionately known as a Slowie. Either single or double bladed. The Sumo version is truly a big fish bait. It's an inline bait with a forked rubber tail. It can cover a lot of water quickly, and has a great hookup rate.

| Same ones we used last year. Schlicke Musky Penetrator Bucktails. Probably Colorado/Double bladed, they work good. | |||

Posts: 89 | Really looking forward to throwing the Tyrant Weed Wrangler. I got to throw it in the take at the Milwaukee show, it looks great! The hydroplaning head will keep it running high over the weeds. Tinsel/maribou tail looks awesome in the water. I'm also looking forward to the homemade 8oz spinnerbaits me and a buddy came up with!

Posts: 2331 Location: SE, WI. | Brett; Nice talking to you at the milw. sports show. Yes; I also plan on pouring up some heavy weights.... 5- 8 oz. That size should be perfect for your neck of the woods. Wire fatigue will be critical, along with a leverage free hooking system to keep those big girls pinned. That weight will offer some leverage towards the fishes advantage. The right hook setup should be a key element... JIM
