In 2001, the WMT Series™ (World Muskie Tournament Series™) introduced the Wisconsin Muskie Tour™ to the world of muskie tournaments, and in just a little over two years the WMT™ established itself as the largest professional muskie tournament circuit ever. In the first ten years, the WMT™ introduced some of the most innovative and compelling promotions in the history of tournament fishing with the $100,000.00 Muskie Grand Slam™, $30,000.00 Muskie Triple Crown™, $140,000.00 Muskie Double Header™, and two Ranger Boats at the Invitational Championship™…to name just a few. This year however, the World Muskie Tournament Series™ is placing the WMT™ on hiatus for 2011 in order to introduce the Professional Muskie Angler Circuit™ (Pro-MAC™).

The Pro-MAC™ inaugural 2011 season will consist of three one day qualifying tournaments and six two day qualifiers, all culminating with histories largest guaranteed muskie tournament circuit championship payout of $40,000.00 to the first place finishers with a purse of $55,000.00. Pewaukee Lake will be the location of this historic 2011 Pro-MAC™ Invitational Championship™. Pewaukee Lake is perhaps one of the most popular muskie tournament destinations for tournament anglers as it has a propensity to produce a very high percentage of angler success coupled with a realistic chance of a trophy muskie.

For very good reasons, we will be returning to the most popular bodies of water that was instrumental in a decade of popularity and success for the WMT™ with the following schedule:

ONE DAY QUALIFIERS:
May 21st - Pewaukee Lake
May 30th - North/South Twin Lakes
September 24th - Lake Mohawksin

TWO DAY QUALIFIERS:
June 4 & 5 - Butternut Lake/Phillips Chain/Pike-Round Chain
June 18 & 19 - Three Lakes Chain
August 6 & 7 - Boom Lake/Sand-Dam Lake Chain
August 20 & 21 - Manitowish Chain
August 27 & 28 - Eagle River Chain

Pro-MAC™ Invitational Championship™
October 1 & 2 - Pewaukee Lake

The WMT Series™ is ushering in a “NEW ERA” in muskie tournaments with the introduction of the Pro-MAC™ as we have already started plans for the 2012 season that will build to a season ending event that will pay out $100,000.00 to the first place finishers with a purse of 160,000.00. The Pro-Mac™ will accomplish all of this while still keeping each tournament entry fee under $400. We believe that creating such a high payout…high profile event will elevate the interest and status that the great sport of muskie angling deserves. The 2011 Pro-MAC™ season should fill all of the scheduled events, so it is imperative that any angler wishing to compete during the 2012 season needs to enter in to the Pro-MAC™ tournament(s) this year, because only the teams that competed during the 2011 Pro-MAC™ season will be allowed to sign up for the following 2012 season.

Recently, the 2011 Pro-MAC™ brochures were mailed out to thousands of die-hard muskie anglers who love the sport of muskie fishing and who appreciate the camaraderie and competition that the Pro-MAC™ provides like no other. If you didn’t receive a 2011 brochure and would like for us to send you one, please email us at [email protected] with your mailing address, but don’t hesitate, several tournaments are getting close enough to filling up, and will be full in a short time. The Pro-MAC™ will be immediately posting the tournaments on our web site ( www.professionalmuskieanglercircuit.com ) as they fill up. If a tournament(s) is not listed on the Pro-MAC™ web site as being filled, it is OK to send in your entry for the event(s), but a word of caution…don’t hesitate in mailing out your entry or you could miss out. You are deem to have entered into a Pro-MAC™ event by the date you mail in your entry that is indicated by the date the letter is post marked and not the date the Pro-MAC™ receives your entry.

As always, the Pro-MAC™ is dedicated to the sport of muskie fishing and enhancing the fishery through our friendly, but competitive tournaments. We look forward to seeing the thousands of supporters that we have enjoyed over the years this season and meeting the new tournament anglers to our circuit.

For more information about the Pro-MAC™ and how you can be the next big winner, log on to the web site at www.professionalmuskieanglercircuit.com or www.WMTseries.com or call us at (715)277-4411.

We have boat numbers for the first two of these events already, and I am going to spend the driving time to Kentucky tomorrow trying to convince my boat partner to fish as many of the rest of them as we possibly can. I had a lot of fun fishing with these folks over the years....and with my record of not winning, it obviously had to be a lot of fun. Nice group of guys fish this! Marty Forman

Looking for a partner to fish the May 21 event on Pewaukee. My normal tournament partner is stuck in "Walleye" mode. Please PM me if you're interested in teaming up.

I took 3rd in the Ironman last fall. However, fall and spring fishing are different beasts on Pewaukee.

I have a boat (2004 Ranger), but am not against utilizing a partners boat. My Ranger does not have a 45 inch livewell.

Cheers,

David

PS Marty - I sat next to you last fall at the rules meeting for the Ironman tournament. I won two hats and gave you one. Hope we can wet a line sometime.

Yea, I remember, think it was a Budweiser hat.....actually pretty hard to take off the Superbowl hat still these days (how bout them Packers?) but you seemed like a really nice young guy and I hope one of these guys will contact you. I suggest signing up pretty quickly even at the risk of having to fish it alone. I think this might be the first tournament to fill up in a while. You should look at other sites too and maybe post a notice at Smokeys on the lake or at Musky Mikes or Dick Smiths nearby. There is always someone around that you can hook up with. Good luck. Marty

I fished with Loves the H2O in the Ironman last year. Good guy. If I wasn't going to be knee deep in 'eyes, I'd love to enter the tournament. But alas, I have to pass. In regards to the finish in the Ironman last year, we owe a ton of thanks to Mike Koepp and Ben Kueng for helping us prepare and fish the tournament. Our finish would not have been possible without those guys.

Thank you the nice comment Geoff (Vegas492). If anyone has an opportunity to get in a boat with Ben Kueng or Mike Koepp, I highly recommend you do so. These are two of the hardest work guides in the state. Sure, you will likely catch fish, but more importantly, they will teach you a ton!! Thanks again for your help preparing for the Ironman.

Also, while Geoff does not guide, he is one hell of a guy! He has taught me so much about musky fishing in such a short period of time. The guy is a true sportsman. Plus our wives get a long which makes finding time to hit the water easier :)

I found a partner for the Pro Mac. I look forward to having fun and hopefully meeting a few more great fishermen like Ben, Mike and Geoff.
